The midfielder was actually replaced when the score was 1-0, with Xherdan Shaqiri introduced in a bid to snatch a late leveller in Naples.
Napoli had other ideas, though, and secured all three points in the final moments when former Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente found the back of the net.

According to WhoScored, Henderson won three tackles during his 87 minutes on the field, but the 53-time England international’s pass success rate was only 79%, which is not exactly terrific for a player operating in the middle of the park.
There were a number of Liverpool fans who were pleased with what they saw from the 29-year-old despite the disappointment of the final result.
Others, though, were unhappy with the skipper’s overall display against Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who have got off to a flyer in the group.
