Lyall went on to manage the club between 1974 and 1989 – landing two FA Cup trophies during his time in charge of the London outfit.

West Ham’s official Twitter account posted a special message for Lyall on Tuesday morning, and as expected, the club’s fans were out in force to hail the former defender.
