da heads bet： Incredibly, it looks as if Liverpool’s saga involving key target Naby Keita is set to take an unexpected twist. Reports are suggesting that Manchester United are keen to prize the 22-year-old away from their rivals.
While early in the transfer window, RB Leipzig were unwilling to sell any of their players this summer, it is believed that their stance may have softened and they would be happy to listen to offers that match the valuation of their players.
This could spell trouble for Liverpool, who have already seen one bid for Keita rejected this summer.
How good was Keita last season?
Immense. The box-to-box midfielder was a revelation (along with most of the Leipzig team) and helped the Bundesliga newcomers to reach Champions League football next season.
Having joined Leipzig from feeder club Red Bull Salzburg, Keita was masterful in the middle of the park, scoring eight goals and contributing seven assistsin 32 matches.
He ranked first in dribbles in the Bundesliga per 90 minutes last season and held better records for interceptions than any of the Manchester United midfield held during the 2016/17 campaign.
Will Liverpool allow a deal with United to happen?
If Manchester United were to pull this off, it would be simply unforgivable from Liverpool’s point of view.
