da betway: Arsenal’s season has been one of highs and lows so far this season. While the Gunners have kept in touch with the top four, some dreadful showings have increased the pressure on Arsene Wenger – who was jeered as he boarded a train in Stoke last weekend.
da bet7: But the Newcastle game was a much more enjoyable one for Arsenal, who ran out comfortable 4-1 winners against the in-form North East outfit. Could this result change the tide this term at the Emirates Stadium? Maybe, and here are THREE reasons why…
Olivier Giroud is back and firing
Although Danny Welbeck did an admirable job leading the line for Arsenal, Giroud’s return has been a welcome relief for the Gunners. Often criticised for a lack of pace, the Frenchman really does offer a presence up front, and his fantastic ability in the air was once again on show against Newcastle with a wonderful headed opener. With a man regularly putting the ball in the net, the Londoners have a chance of rising up the table.
Alexis Sanchez is excellent
Well what can you say about the little Chilean! Sanchez was once again on form against the Magpies, setting up two goals in a 90 minutes in which he was a constant threat. He let himself down a little with some yellow car gesturing when fouled, but his all-round performance should get the headlines instead.
Good run of fixtures
Arsenal have stuttered so far this term, but the Christmas period offers some genuine point scoring chances. Aside from Liverpool, who are in poor form, next, the Gunners face a host of sides they can realistically aim to take all three points from, before a trip to Man City in late January.
