The 27-year-old has gone on to become a key figure for the Swans in the Premier League in the last three seasons, and after scoring an impressive 11 top flight goals in the 2015/16 campaign, he played a pivotal role in the Welsh outfit narrowly avoiding relegation to the Championship last term.
Sigurdsson netted nine goals and provided a 13 assists to help the club to safety, and he could now be a target for a number of clubs this summer.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on the post via social media, and it was clear that the majority of fans are keen for the club to re-sign the playmaker, with others believing the tweet could be a hint that he is set to return.
